Xbox One Prices Cut Just Days Before E3 2016

Microsoft announced on May 31st that Xbox Prices will see a significant price drop in the last two weeks leading up to E3.

Right now, you can purchase a 500 gig Xbox One, and choose one game (Gears of Ware Ultimate Edition, Tomb Raider, Forza 6, or Rare Replay), for $299.

You can also choose to get the 1 TB “Spring Bundle” which includes Gears of War Ultimate Edition, Rare Replay, Halo 5, and Ori and the Blind Forest, for just a little more at $319.

Other bundles and price points are also available over at the Xbox site.

The price drops come with rumors of Microsoft unveiling newer models of the Xbox One, with a slimmer model possibly being released later this year, and a more powerful version of the console, codenamed “Scorpio” possibly being released in 2017.

It’s interesting that this sale goes on through June 13th, which is the day of Microsoft’s Xbox Briefing at E3.

I’ll be at E3, but I will end up missing the Xbox Briefing, so it’s really interesting to see what may or may not be announced at the show.  I will do my best to update with anything I learn when I’m there.
